About Chalon Stamps

A history

Chalon Stamps opened in early 1988 in a small shop at the rear of the Gloucester Arcade, run by myself Peter and wife Glynis. The stamp business which specialises in New Zealand stamps expanded quickly and it soon became apparent that our small shop in the rear of the Gloucester Arcade, Christchurch, was too small, so in 1994 we moved across the hallway to bigger premises.

A further move (hopefully the final one!) to a larger shop on the street frontage of the arcade took place in 1996, and with this came increased patronage.

We have met many interesting collectors from all over the world and all walks of life with whom we still do business. We hope you enjoy viewing our extensive online stamp catalogue that we have found to be a great way to extend our service to a wider community of stamp collectors from around the world with out having to move to larger premises yet again!
